A lot like men, women want the best mate available.  To men, that means success with a beautiful woman.  But with women there are several factors in the formula.  As a generalization, let's just say women are drawn to the best chauvinist they can find.

So how do you readers get from oblivion to a chauvinist's paradise?

This chapter first looks at the two insurmountable barriers that men believe are keeping them down.

Aphrodite:  Oh, Adonis, your rippling body, your wonderful locks and your handsome face leave my thighs trembling for your loins.

Adonis:  My love Aphrodite, how I crave your passion!

Aphrodite:  Oh, but my sweet Adonis, love cannot be said to come from one’s eyes and desires alone.  Love is from the soul.

Adonis:    My love is for a woman’s sweet breasts and pulsing thighs.

Aphrodite:  So mine must be for another.

Adonis:      Might I rephrase? 

(Or maybe Shakespeare never did write that.)

SHAKESPEARE GETS THE GIRL

Being handsome and muscled easily gets a man laid in a woman’s thoughts, but is not so effective in the real event (unlike on television).  What a hunk gains in titillating hormones is often lost by a woman’s suspicion over how many beds he is hoping to jump into.  Physical attraction is not even the most important part of romantic love for women.  A man must be seen as having some of the special personal qualities that make romantic love bloom for a woman.

Does it help to look like Brad Pitt or Matt Damon?  Obviously.  But does it really hurt to look like Mick Jagger, Frank Sinatra or Hugh Hefner?  Obviously not.  Women can focus on one or two handsome traits a man might have and see a very hot property.

So keep sharp the looks that say who you are and don’t sweat the rest.

The usual assumption of men who do not have much money is that a load of cash is essential to a really great sex life.  If one is inclined to patronize the world’s oldest profession, cash is indeed everything.  For the rest of us though the lack of big bucks is no true barrier.  The point is true that women are drawn to powerful men capable of molding the world in the ways they choose.  Being rich is easily seen as having this manly appeal.  Money makes others work for you.  It provides comfort and prestige.  But it is not, surprisingly, the real thing Woman is looking for in Man.  That is because the attraction to male power is a more complicated feminine trait than simple greed.  It has more than one aspect and has surprisingly little to do with the luxuries of civilization.    Until only about three hundred generations ago, everyone’s survival each day turned on defeating murderous attacks from other tribes or from hungry carnivores.  The protection of women and children from a suddenly violent world is part of the human gender bargain.  This is the power that women are drawn to.  A man’s power at a moment of peace does not always translate to power at a moment of crisis. Just as fundamental in the gender bargain is the man’s loyalty in other ways; sexual and spiritual.  Without masculine loyalty, the earth remains an unacceptably dangerous place to be.  So, having courage in combat and commitment in one’s soul was the male charisma of prehistoric times and still is in modern times.

Beauty and the Cash

Only secondary in feminine attraction to masculine power is the enjoyment of material wealth.

Therefore, if one is attracting a woman, one does not succeed, even mostly, just by having money and the willingness to spend it.  A millionaire may come across as not especially ready to kill a tiger with his bare hands.  A spoiled rich guy also seems unlikely to place himself at serious risk for somewoman.  Just having a lot of money raises suspicions about playing around.

 Sure, women like spending money, maybe even more so than men.  Yes, a lot of women, at some level, trade sex for cash.  But money alone will get a man no higher in a woman’s inner conception than being a “john” or a Nice Guy to be exploited.  So, don’t resent the rich guys over women.  After all, the millionaires all find out the hard way that cash is not the way to a woman’s passion.

So, if looks and money are not the beginning and the end for women, how does an average guy get ahead?  Most eunuchs know that Nice Guy tactics are just about useless.   How does one show a woman, or better yet many women, that I am the strong, loyal warrior who could lose his heart to romantic love with you?

 What a question!  Is the answer as simple as knowing a couple of great pick-up lines?  Maybe it’s best to first do maximum strength training and kick a few bad asses?

Although good lines of both kinds help in attracting women, it is not mostly what a man says, how he looks or feels or even who he really is that counts.  It is how Man “emotes” that attracts Woman; her own language expressed through images, through motions, by facial expression, by touching and, ultimately, through physical love.  The language of romantic love is the chauvinist’s greatest asset.

Strangers really are watching you, mostly by looking directly at you from a modest distance.   People do not even think about this first encounter.   Many are bashfully looking away most of the time they meet new people, especially attractive ones of the opposite sex.

Warriors look people right in the eye.  A warrior’s mere glance can direct his woman and other minions.  There is no greater way to express power than with the look in your eyes.  Nor is there a greater way to express love.  The look in one’s eyes can be read from across the room and often is.

Whatever the pains of overcoming bashfulness, can it compare to the suffering of a eunuch?  Just make a point of keeping your eyes up and roving for a few days and you will see just how many other chumps there are out there.  You may look good by comparison.  You will learn the communication in eye contact almost instinctually.  You will also see just how Woman is revealing herself to you.  So pay attention.
